PCB Translator precisely converts component libraries defined in heterogeneous ECAD systems into formats that can be used immediately by the target ECAD tool. It converts key library components such as symbols, footprints, and component property data without loss, maximizing data compatibility and enabling immediate design initiation.
PCB Translator precisely transfers component placement information (position, rotation, surface information, etc.) generated from the original ECAD system to the target ECAD environment. It minimizes the time required for component relocation and review by maintaining data consistency, and significantly reduces additional layout modification work after design conversion.
PCB Translator converts and applies various design rules set in heterogeneous ECAD systems into design rules that can be immediately applied in the target ECAD environment. This minimizes the work of setting, checking, and supplementing additional design rules, thereby increasing the efficiency of the entire design process.
PCB Translator accurately maintains the routing path and copper fill information of the original ECAD design while converting it to the target ECAD environment. Electrical connectivity and copper areas are preserved even during heterogeneous data conversion, which significantly reduces the need for separate Routing & Fill operations after conversion.
In interCAD Editor, parts, nets, and routings are converted identically to the drawing before conversion.
On the other hand, Shape, Fill, Copper, and Reference may have slight differences depending on the unique characteristics of each PCB tool.
Just as you need the program and license of each tool when opening a file in interCAD Editor, you also need the program and license of the tool when converting.
For example, to convert from Allegro to Zuken, you need the program and license of both Allegro and Zuken.
As an exception, if the file you want to convert is in ASCII format (e.g. .asc file of PADS), you can convert it without a separate program.
Therefore, if you convert from Allegro to PADS and convert it to an .asc file, you can convert it without the PADS program or license.
The conversion service is paid, and 250,000 won is charged per design.
Before conversion, the IXD file is sent for review, and if there are no problems, the converted file is sent.
However, the conversion service is provided free of charge to users of the interCAD Editor trial version or those who subscribed/purchased interCAD Editor.
