This is a solution for Board Station not running after Windows update. 

 

[Phenomenon] 

Occur VWComms database server error when boot up windows or run Board Station.

 

[Cause]

The mfc42.dll used in dbserv.exe in vision was changed on Windows update (KB2506212), causing compatibility issues.

 

[Warning] 

If the above error does not occur, you do not need to apply this information. If applied, other errors may occur.

 

[Solution] 

1. Copy the attached mfc42.dll to the bottom of C:/Program FilesCommon FilesVision.

2. Reboot the system after copying files and then you can resolves the problem.
