Process
Accurately converts library data from existing ECAD systems into the PADS Pro library format. Symbols, footprints, and part-related information are converted while maintaining the accuracy of the original data, so they can be used immediately in the PADS Pro design environment.
Precisely transfers the placement information of parts designed in the original ECAD tool into the PADS Pro format. The layout and coordinate information of parts in the original design are maintained, allowing the design process to proceed smoothly without additional placement rework.
Design rules defined in existing ECAD tools—clearance, trace width, via, net class, and more—are converted into PADS Pro’s Constraint Manager–based Design Rules. Even constraint data that never appears on the drawing yet governs Routing and Fill is carried over, so you can continue Routing on rule-compliant data without having to redefine or recheck a single rule.
Converts the routing paths and copper fill information defined in the original design into the PADS Pro environment without loss. By maintaining the electrical connectivity and design intent of the routing and copper areas, it minimizes the need for additional Routing & Fill rework.
