Process
Board Station Translator accurately converts the parts library used in existing ECAD systems to the Board Station Library format. During the conversion process, it maintains library configuration information such as symbols and footprints, and supports immediate use in the Board Station design environment as soon as the conversion is completed.
Board Station Translator accurately transfers the layout information of parts generated from existing ECAD tools to Board Station format. Detailed elements such as the layout location and orientation of parts are maintained as is, minimizing the burden of rework after conversion and enabling faster design progress.
Design rules defined in existing ECAD tools—clearance, trace width, via, net class, and more—are converted and applied into Board Station’s Design Rule system. Even constraint data that never appears on the drawing yet governs Routing and Fill is carried over, so you can continue Routing on rule-compliant data without having to set up and check the rules again.
Board Station Translator converts the routing path and copper fill area of the original data to the Board Station environment without loss. It maintains the electrical connectivity and copper area of the original design, allowing smooth work to continue without the need to re-set the routing and fill information during subsequent work.
